I have just finished a book by a guy called Daren Sturgess, The title of which is 'The Filthy Six'. What a breath of fresh air! It was both funny and original. At least as good as Terry Pratchett's early stuff. Not quite your standard swords and sorcery novel, it tells the tale from the bad guy's point of view. With a great twist at the end. I look forward to seeing the second part, I hope that you read that Daren, a second part! The basic plotline is that Ashandra the Necromancer is sick and tired of always loosing, so she hire's the hero's to steal whatever artifact the good guy's think they need to win. I can't praise this novel enough.
